425 years Hotel Zum Ritter St. Georg
Dear guests of the Hotel Zum Ritter St. Georg,
the year 2017 was not only the year of the 500th anniversary of Luther's Reformation. Also in Heidelberg, more precisely the "Ritter" had a reason to celebrate the year 2017 - the "Ritter" turned 425 years old.
In 1592, Carolus Belier had built the gabled house with its Renaissance facade in honor of his wife Francina and laid the foundation stone for a building, which awakes enthusiasm by both, residents and tourists. This is one reason why the "Ritter" is - apart from the famous Heidelberg castle - the most frequently photographed sight of Heidelberg.
As you can imagine, 2017 was a historical year: for our employees, the residents of Heidelberg and not least for you, our guests!.
In order not to mar the surprise effect, we of course do not wish to disclose too much, except the following:
- To celebrate this special birthday, our guests will receive a specifically requested coin with anniversary embossing.
- Our chef de cuisine Hans-Peter Vetter and his team have created special Renaissance menus. Here you will find more information.
